Connect, compete and celebrate

Our vision

CyberSQUAD aims to build a vibrant community of future cybersecurity leaders. By bringing together students and alumni from summer schools, volunteers, and young professionals, we create a dynamic network of the next generation of CISOs, CTOs, and CIOs. Central to this vision are the annual CyberSQUAD Events, a unique two-part experience designed to inspire, educate, and connect. The first part of the program makes learning about cybersecurity fun, accessible, and engaging for all participants, regardless of their background. The second part of the program the ultimate challenge unfolds — the legendary Capture-the-Flag (CTF) battle, which grows bigger and bolder each year with even more teams competing for glory. At the same time, the social event starts with live music, drinks and bits. Together, we empower the next wave of cybersecuritytalent to connect, grow, and lead the digital world of tomorrow.

They come to the events hoping to network, find inspiration, or discover their place in the field. They end up unexpectedly making friends there, too.

Our mission

At CyberSQUAD, our mission is to nurture the next generation of cybersecuritytalent by building a strong, connected community of ambitious young professionals. We bring together students, summer school alumni, volunteers, and early-career cyber experts to foster growth, learning, and collaboration.

Our flagship initiative, the CyberSQUAD Events, plays a key role in this mission. With a combination of informative talks, challenging Capture-the-Flag events and fun activities with drinks and bits, we offer a platform for young professionals to sharpen their skills, test their knowledge, and expand their network. Through hands-on experiences, friendly competition, and a spirit of collaboration, CyberSQUAD is dedicated to empowering the cybersecurity leaders of tomorrow.

Program Manager Cybersecurity, Municipality of The Hague

Saida is an entrepreneurial cyber security professional. Her journey within this exciting business started almost 10 years ago with what is today one of the largest bug bounty platforms, HackerOne. Here she has been instrumental in helping grow the European network and business. After this great adventure Saida moved on into the entrepreneurial world by running a start-up herself, advising new entrepreneurs and helping others with their business strategies.

Because of her deeper interest into the public domain, she chartered new waters by joining the Dutch National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) in 2019. Here she was among other things responsible for collaboration with several critical infrastructure sectors, CERTs, public sector and the National Response Network. Currently Saida is working for the Municipality of The Hague where her scope of responsibilities ranges from subjects as innovation, collaboration, knowledge sharing and internationalization, to continue into acquisition, cyber resilience for SME’s and up to talent.

With her extensive experience and large international network, she was one of the initiators of the Dutch chapter of Women4Cybersecurity. She is very passionate in not only remaining a lifelong learner, but also sharing her knowledge and experiences with others to help them grow.

Saida holds a Bachelor’s Degree in European Studies, Master’s Degree in Political Communication and a Master’s Degree in Crisis and Security Management.

About CyberSQUAD

CyberSQUAD is a dynamic community dedicated to shaping the next generation of cybersecurity leaders. By bringing together students, summer school alumni, volunteers, and early-career cyber professionals, CyberSQUAD creates a space where learning, collaboration, and connection thrive. At the heart of this community are the annual CyberSQUAD Events — a two-part experience that blends education, competition, and networking. That is all based on our volunteers, who play a crucial role in making it all happen, supporting event coordination, guiding participants, and ensuring every moment runs smoothly. CyberSQUAD is more than just an event — it’s a movement to build a stronger, more connected generation of future CISOs, CTOs, and CIOs.
